Ogtay Asadov meets with Teodor Atanasiu

According to AzerTAg, Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament spoke of the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, noting their intensification last years. "Azerbaijan appraises Romanian support both in political and military spheres", Mr. Asadov emphasized. "We hope the relations will develop further and in versatile fields".

Mr. Teodor Atanasiu said Romania appreciated Azerbaijan's role in region and is keen in development of ties with this country. The goal of visit to Baku, he said, is just to carry out consultations for expansion of relations.

The Minister spoke of the meeting with his counterpart, noting that some documents on military cooperation, staff training and data exchange were signed. He gave high assessment to Azerbaijan's integration into the Euro-Atlantic structure and cooperation with NATO.
