Mammadyarov meets Javier Solana in Brussels

Tahir Tagizade, head of Press and Information Policy Department of MFA informed that yesterday Mammadyarov along with Georgian and Armenian ministers – Gela Bejuashvili and Vardan Oskanyan met with Javier Solana, commissioner of EU on External Policy and Security.

The meeting was also attended by Karel Kovanda, deputy general director of EU on Foreign Policy, Brain Fall-special representative of Great Britain on the Southern Caucasus and general secretary of Foreign Ministry of Austria that will chair EU next year.

The sides discussed conflicts on the Southern Caucasus, EU’s role in solving them, clearing territories from mines, restoring the territories and EU’s cooperation with Southern Caucasian countries. Then Foreign Ministers of Southern Caucasian countries had eye to eye meetins with EU officials.
