PACE Secretary General Terry Davis advocates voter’s list contain addresses

The Secretary General addressed to the members of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE for the solution of this. Member of the delegation Gultakin Hajiyeva told APA.

According to him, the delegation had a meeting with the Secretary General in Strasbourg.

“Mr. Davis expressed his satisfaction of the election process, except the voter’s lists. He stated that, much more democratic situation having no analogy has been provided for the upcoming elections in comparison with the previous elections. He mentioned great number of candidates and the establishment of the Public Television as example. His concern about the voter’s lists is that some persons are shown falsely as the residents of the addresses of others. Tarry Davis wants this problem to be solved”.

Stating that no special issue about Azerbaijan was discussed in the PACE Plenary session, G.Hajiyeva told that there will not be any special discussion about Azerbaijan till the elections.

She said of such discussion to be held in January session of the organization. January session of PACE will discuss the results of the parliamentary elections to be held in Azerbaijan.
