Deputy chairman of “Yeni fikir” youth movement is interrogated in regard to his visit to Poland

The deputy chairman of the «Yeni Fikir» youth movement Said Nuri arrested recently is currently interrogated together with Ruslan Bashirli who was also taken into custody in regard to his visit to Poland in early August.
This information was goven to Trend by a movement member Fikret Faramazoglu.  

According to him, Ruslan Bashirli and Said Nuri visited Poland to take part in seminars. The visit took place from 1 August till 3 August 2005. After the visit Bashirli was arrested. «One of the charges leveled against Bashirli is connected with his visit to Poland.

According to the charges, Bashirli and Nuri while in Poland had been instructed by certain groups against the state. After the arrest of Bashilrli Said Nuri was invited to the Investigation Department on Heavy Crimes and after the interrogation as a witness he was asked questions on the visit”. Nuri said, during the visit there were no talks against the state”, Faramazoglu said.

According to the organization’s member, prior to detaining Said Nuri, he had been first brought to the Investigation Department on Heavy Crimes and from there to the Police Department of Narimanov district and is currently in the solitary confinement. «Said Nuri is accused of the attempt of the coup in Azerbaijan, funding from abroad, setting up of military groups. It seems the arrests will not be over on this. It looks, as if some more members of the movement will be detained shortly.»
