Candidacy of Elmira Suleymanova was put forward to the post of the Commissar on Human Rights of the Council of Europe

It will be known in the sitting to be held on election of the Commissar on Human Rights of the Council of Europe whether E.Suleymanova will be confirmed to that post or not. Putting of the candidacy of the ombudsman forward to that post resulted in concern of the Armenians side. Armenians will show serious resistance for E.Suleymanova’s not being appointed to the post of the commissar in that sitting.

APA was informed from the press-service of the Ombudsman’s Apparatus that, as E.Suleymanova is on a visit, an explanation in this connection will be given after the visit of the ombudsman.
