Next meeting between human rights defenders and authority representatives will be held on 1 July.
APA was informed by deputy, member of Azerbaijan delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) Gultekin Hajiyeva.

It must be noted that, in the meeting held between human rights defenders and authority representatives on 10-11 June working group composed of human rights defenders Novella Jafaroglu, Saida Gojamanli, Seadet Benenyarli, Rena Sadeddinova, Zaliha Tahirova, Murad Sadeddinov, Eldar Zeynalov, Chingiz Genizadeh, Sahib Mammedov, government representatives head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, member Gultekin Hajiyeva, Ali Huseinov, head of Department on law enforcement bodies of President’s Office Fuad Alesgerov, director of PA sector on pardon matters  Kemale Ismaylova, senior counselor of PA sector on defense of human rights Otari Gvaladze, Azerbaijan’s representative to European Court on Human Rights Chingiz Asgerov, head of  Press and Information Office of Foreign Ministry Tahir Tagizade was formed. The working group members signed memorandum. G.Hajiyeva said that, if no changes the next meeting will be held early July and the agenda of the meeting will be defined by the members of Working Group. G.Hajiyev expressed opinion on PACE rapporteur on political prisoners in Azerbaijan Malcolm Bruce’s statement “The matter of political prisoner in Azerbaijan has not closed” .She said: “The only matter remained for the authority is that opportunity should be provided for some prisoners especially life-term prisoners Elchin Amiraslanov , Sefa Poladov and Arif Kazimov to appeal to European Court on Human Rights, time is needed for that. We shall provide juridical opportunities for them in order European Court to hear their cases. All the human rights defenders, except one confirm that they committed grave crime. We decided to ensure their appealing to the Court”.

It must be noted that, director of Peace and Democracy Institute Leyla Yuniz is reported to be the one who doesn’t confirm that these three prisoners committed grave crime.
