Ambassadors of European Union countries in Baku made statement on the murder of Elmar Huseynov

APA was informed of it from Embassy of Great Britain, representing European Union in Azerbaijan.

Serious uneasiness because of the incident was expressed in the statement. Ambassadors of European Union countries gave condolence to Elmar Huseynov's family members, his friends and colleagues in grief. The ambassadors highly appreciated the gifts donated by Elmar Huseynov to the development of free press, democracy and pluralism in Azerbaijan and considered the murder as attack to these principals and Azerbaijan nation.

It is stated in the statement that, ambassadors of European Union countries in Baku approve the attention of Azerbaijan government to investigation of this crime and to make the murderer of Elmar Huseynov be under just trial.
