Azerbaijan marks Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis today

December 31 is celebrated as the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis every year. More than 50 million Azerbaijanis live in the world today.

Since 1993, Dec. 31 is declared as the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis in accordance with the Azerbaijani President's decree.

Azerbaijan is an independent and sovereign state since Oct. 18, 1991 and this day is marked as a holiday.
