Azeri karate fighters win 8 medals in Moscow tournament

Azerbaijani karate fighters have brought home a clutch of 8 medals, including 2 golds from an international tournament in Moscow, Russia. Gold medals came from Vusal Rahimov and Rafael Mammadov.

Rafael Mammadov also gained the bronze medal in the kumite tournament. Other Azeri fighters Eyvaz Ashrafli and Murad Balakishiyev garnered silver, while Elvin Eyvazov, Hasan Khidirov and Huseyn Khidirov won bronze medals.

Azerbaijan ranked 4th in the medal table. The tournament brought together nearly 1000 karate fighters from 10 countries.
