Illegal totalizators revealed in Baku, criminal case launched against totalizator owner

Officials of the Ministry of Taxes revealed facilities engaged in illegal totalizator activity in different parts of Baku, the Ministry said.

According to information, the citizens pay money forecasting the results of games on the eve of football and other sport games in catering establishments engaging in illegal totalizator activity.

However, the heads of such establishments reflects distorted information hiding the incomes, turnovers in the declarations that they submitted to the tax agencies. Some totalizator offices continuing the activity under the name of café or tea houses engage in illegal entrepreneurship activity without obtaining license.

Relevant agencies of Ministry of Finance have revealed facts on illegal activity of NTV+ object in Gurban Abbasov, 72, Sabail District, concerning to private entrepreneur Mahammad Aliyev and Gadim Baku object in Javadkhan Street 17, Nasimi District concerning to private entrepreneur Naib Huseynov, object in Z. Khalilov Street 43, YAsamal District concerning to Shahin Gafarov, Madrid object in M.Rustamov, 34, Khatai District concerning to Anar Mamadov, Zenit object in Ganja Avenue 73, Khatai District concerning Elchin Ganbarov. Tax agencies have revealed 1 notebook, 7 computer processors, AZN 294, 3 stamps concerning to different firms and payment checks proving the winning money during the control.

Note that, criminal cases have been launched against the totalizators owners. Criminal case on the avoiding of AZN 1 mln 752 000 from the state budget was launched against the owner of Bavariya café Haji Guliyev under the article of 213.2.2.
