The Azerbaijani parliament will revise a bill on simplification of tourist visas for tourists visiting the country on April 8.
The parliamentary session will mull amendments to the law "On entry, exit and passports" and "Regulations on the migration service," Spokesman Akif Tevekkuloglu told Trend on Monday.
According to the new amendments, an application to obtain a tourist visa is to be issued after a 15-day waiting period. The amendments note that tourist visas are granted for 30 days.
The amendments to the "Regulations on the migration service" provide for the transfer to the State Migration Service of some 25% of the funds collected as fines imposed by the migration authorities under the Administrative Violations Code for violating immigration laws.
These amendments are aimed to strengthen social protection for the migration authorities and to improve their financial situation.
