Communication enterprises in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) rendered services worth more than 939,500 manat in January-February,which is 97% more than during the same period in 2010, the NAR Permanent Representation in Baku said on Wednesday.
According to the report, as a result of the first two months of theyear, the volume of information and communication services amounted to 6.993 million manat, which is 22.4 percent higher compared to the same period of last year.
Some 86% (in monetary terms - 6.013 million manat) of the total volume fell to non-state communications enterprises.
The volume of communications services provided by state enterprises increased by 23.8% compared to the previous year.
The number capacity of public telephone networks increased by 384 units in January-February.
