Major of Azerbaijani State Border Service commits suicide

Murder took place in State Border Service’s frontier post located in the southern region, law-enforcement bodies of Jalilabad reported.

The incident was recorded on March 9, in SBS's frontier post located in Serkhanli village of Jalilabad region. Officer, Major Ragif Ganiyev shot himself with a gun.

The reasons of the incident are unknown.

Press center of the SBS told APA that Major Ragif Ganiyev Balakishi died on March 9, as a result of careless handling of weapon. Lankaran Military Prosecutor’s Office has launched a criminal case on the fact, investigation is underway.
