
In the framework of the X summit of heads of the states of the Turkish-speaking countries forthcoming in Istanbul, a meeting with participation of the minister of the industry and energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Taner Yildiz and the minister of the oil and gas industry and mineral resources of Turkmenistan Bayramgeldi Nedirov took place at the Ciragan Palace here.
In meeting, attended also by technical delegations of three countries, discussed were the planned projects, the questions connected with the Nabucco gas pipeline. The Ministers have noted that it is necessary to continue together with Turkey discussions on delivery of increasing in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan of the stocks of natural gas on the markets of Europe.
Yildiz told the journalists that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have begun oil transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
“This positive experience can be applied also on the gas pipeline”, the minister emphasized.
As to the project of Nabucco, Turkey considers that it is necessary to create an alliance of the countries-producers in which will take part Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iraq and even Iran. The question also is the task of the technical group created by the European Union last week in Brussels.
