Azerbaijani grandmaster Sarkhan Guliyev is 11th with 2,5 pts, after being held to a draw by Georgian Z. Sturua, at Abu Dhabi tournament. Another chess player Gadir Huseynov is 23rd with 1,5 pts.
The tournament brings together 26 chess players.
