Azerbaijan Democratic Republic's 92nd anniversary marked in Tajikistan

The event brought together Tajik foreign minister Khamrokhon Zarifi, interior minister Abdurahim Kahharov, other officials, diplomats, members of the Azerbaijani community and journalists.

Addressing the event, ambassador Maharram Aliyev briefed the participants on the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Repubic. He also spoke of the accomplishments Azerbaijan made after national leader Heydar Aliyev came to power again in 1993 and President Ilham Aliyev's successful domestic and foreign policy.

Khamrokhon Zarifi congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the holiday. He also told of the relationship between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
