Russia accuses Georgia of provocations

28 January 2010 [17:04] - TODAY.AZ
Russia assesses the request of Georgian government to substitute Russian forces by international police forces in its occupied zones as a new provocation.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Gregory Karasin, who chairs the Russian delegation in Geneva, talks reproached the proposal of the Georgian side before the beginning of talks.

"The statements of some Georgian politicians and authorities, demanding substitution of Russian forces by international police forces, are absolutely provocative. The issue should be primarily agreed with Sokhumi and Tskhinvali before voicing it as a demand," Karasin told reporters.
