Russia will recognize territorial integrity of Georgia without Abkhazia and the so called South Ossetia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov stated about it on the press conference held on Jan. 22.
"Statements were made in Tbilisi about restoring territorial integrity. We already know it well how Tbilisi does it – by murdering civilians and peacekeepers. Russia recognizes and respects territorial integrity of Georgia, but only within the boundaries imposed by Saakashvili himself – without South Ossetia and Abkhazia," Lavrov stated.
The Russian Minister says that Moscow offered Georgian side to discuss the issue of status together with the security issue on Geneva International talks, but there was categorical refusal from Mikheil Saakashvili to this proposal.
Lavrov alleges that Moscow had not any plan of intervention to Georgia and recognition independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
