The 19th International Conference on Persian Gulf kicked off in Tehran on Monday morning.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki opened the conference dubbed as “The Persian Gulf, Challenges and Regional Mechanisms”.
Experts from 15 countries including Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Egypt, Romania, France, Germany, China, India and Russia are taking part in the two-day event which is hosted by Iran’s Foreign Ministry.
The conference is aimed at demonstrating Iran’s potential and capabilities in resolving regional problems through cooperation with other regional countries and pronouncing these countries’ independence and lack of need for any non-regional countries in the Persian Gulf.
