A total of 56 185 new jobs, including 41,818 permanent jobs were created in Azerbaijan in Jan.-Sept., 2009, the State Statistical Committee said.
According to statistics, 12.3 percent of jobs were created bynew enterprises, 17 percent by existing enterprises, 0.7 percent by restored enterprises and 70 percent by individuals.
Nearly 71.8 percent of jobs were created in regions, including 18 percent in Aran Economic Region, 13.5 percent in Ganja-Gazakh, 7.3 percent in Guba-Khachmaz, 6.9 percent in Nakhchivan, 6.7 percent in Absheron, 6.5 percent in Lenkaran and 5.6 percent in Sheki-Zagatala Economic Regions.
About 93.3 percent of jobs account for private sector.
