170 kg of expired food found in Azerbaijan

During the monitoring, expired food products including confectionery, sausages, oil, baby food, beers, milk and dairy products, soft drinks, and other products weighing about 170 kg were found in several stores.

The expired products were withdrawn from sale and destroyed.

For wrongdoing, several individuals were administratively disciplined.

Since May 17, 2009, for violation of consumer rights 53 legal entities have been fined 199, 200 manats, and 524 individuals 783, 000 manats.
