Teaching Azerbaijani language and literature banned at Iranian high schools

Teaching Azerbaijani language and literature has been banned at the Tebriz university of Iran, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the World Azerbaijanis Congress.
As is reported, the Iranian Education Ministry also spoke against creation of the affiliate of Azerbaijani language and literature in the Muhaggig university in Ardebil.

As was reported, the five-year program envisions intensive study of Azerbaijani language and literature. But it became clear in the beginning of the academic year that this program will not be conducted in the Muhaggig university.

Along with banning teaching of Azerbaijani language and literature, the Education Ministry of Iran also spoke against teaching political sciences, organization of tourism, information, journalism, international relations, economy, cybernetics, social sciences.

The universities of South Azerbaijan still have no affiliates in the sphere of political science,journalism, international relations and scientific information.
