The appeal, sent to Supreme Court of Azerbaijan on the case of editor-in-chief of the Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper against the verdict passed by Baku Court of Appeal, has been accepted for consideration.
The due announcement was made by journalist's defender Isakhan Ashurov.
The defender said that the appeal will be considered under the chair of judge Muzaffar Aghazade.
Ashurov said touching upon the day of claim consideration that the date of the court hearing on Fatullayev's case is not known.
It should be reminded that the Baku Appellate Court upheld the decision of the Court of Grave Crimes, passed against journalist Fatullayev, who was sentenced for eight and half years of imprisonment.
The editor-in-chief is charged under articles 214.1 (threat of terrorism), 283.2.2 (inciting national, racial or religious animosity with abuse of powers) and 213.2.2 (tax evasion) of the Criminal Code.
