Chairman of Armenia National Assembly: "Karabakh will gain independence"

The due announcement was made by Tigran Torosyan,chairman of Armenia's National Assembly, commenting on declaration of Kosovo's independence. He added that he had studied both conflicts.

He said independent Kosovo may become an impetus for recognition of Karabakh as this is an unexampled case in Europe. "But regardless of Kosovo's future, I am confident that Nagorno Karabakh will gain independence", the speaker said.

It should be noted that Kosovo declared its independence on February 17 and is supported by a number of countries, including Turkey.
