Azerbaijan, World Bank to continue work on education reforms

The Education Reform Program between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank is finishing this year, the country's education minister said.

He added that Azerbaijan intends to continue cooperating on new joint projects with the World Bank.

The main purposes of the Education Reform Program (2003-2007) are to increase learning achievements for all students and improve efficiency of general education. The World Bank extended a US$18 million equivalent credit to Azerbaijan to help finance the project, APA-Economics reports.
