Elmar Mammadyarov receives UN Secretary General's Representative on human rights of IDPs

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received Walter Kalin, UN Secretary General's Representative on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons, the Ministry's press and information policy department informs.

The Minister touched on the economic and humanitarian consequences of the hard living conditions of refugees and IDPs, and said that peace negotiations in the framework of Prague process to settle the Nagorno Karabakh conflict continues.

The visitor said his visit aims at familiarizing with the conditions of the displaced population in Azerbaijan and reporting to UN Human Rights Council.

The sides also discussed issues of mutual concern, APA reports.
