Azeri President attends Novruz Holiday event in Baku

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva participated Novruz Holiday events in Baku.

He set fire to the bonfire, a symbol of the national holiday held in spring equinox. He said Azerbaijan has officially celebrated this holiday after regaining independence.

He said Azerbaijan is enjoying fast development in all spheres and has become a pilot for past three years.

There is development, progress in every sphere, there is welfare and stability in the country, he noted.

He congratulated the Azeri people on the national holiday. APA
