Azerbaijan enhance cooperation with International Union of Latin Notaries

An opening ceremony for event was attended by Vice-President of Uruguay Rodolfo Nin Novoa and Vice-President of the World Bank Mrs. Anna Palacio.

The General Meeting discussed reports by member-states on the activities of their notary bodies, amortization and registration of mortgage contracts. Participation of Azerbaijan in the event was especially noted.

Members of the Azerbaijan delegation provided the Union Executive Committee's International Relations Commission with detailed information about activities of notary bodies in Azerbaijan amid successful legal reforms being implemented in the country, plans to further improve the work in this sphere and existing legislation.

During a meeting with the President of the International Union of Latin Notaries Giancarlo Laurini, the proposal on Azerbaijan's admission to the organization was advanced, a coordinator for the country appointed, and a working visit of the Union’s officials to Azerbaijan planned.
