He told APA there was no intergovernmental agreement for Channel D to directly broadcast in the territory of Azerbaijan. It broadcasts in Azerbaijan on the basis of an agreement with Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Technologies Ministry.
Maharramli said the stop of Channel D's transmission would be considered if it lacks a right license. "These telecasts cast shadow on the friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey. We regret for the Channel D's 'surprises'," he said.
Maharramli insisted that foreign broadcasters can not transmit in the territory of Azerbaijan according to the international standards. They can only broadcast through satellites and cable TV.
