Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki-Kars project tender completed

A tender for construction of the Georgian part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Akhalkalaki-Kars railway project has been completed.

The bids will be opened in a few weeks, Georgian railway LLC told APA bureau.

Rehabilitation of Marabda-Akhalkalaki railway line and laying of railway from Akhalkalaki to Turkey's border will be taken note of in the tender.

Georgia and Azerbaijan agreed to allow long-term credit to Georgia to finance construction of the Georgian part of the project.
