Omb participates at international conference in Kyiv

Ombudsperson Elmira Suleymanova has taken part in the international conference on topic "Experience of the Ombudsman of Children’s Rights: Prospects for Ukraine," held in capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.

In conference, Suleymanova spoke of the state of children in the Republic. She noted that one third of the million refugees and IDPs are children whose fundamental rights were violated during long years. They cannot receive normal education, medical services, etc.

She has emphasized necessity of paying of special attention to destinies of children who suffered as a result of wars and military conflicts, and restoration of peace in region, has drawn attention of the international organizations to resolve this problem of Azerbaijani people.

In the frame of visit, Elmira Suleymanova has taken part in ceremony of opening of group at the Kharkov International Slavic University on studying the Azerbaijan language, history, culture and economy. She has met with the Ukrainian students and representatives of Azeri Diaspora in this country. AzerTAg
