Press Council asks President to pardon the arrested journalists

They asked to pardon Sakit Zahidov, Azadlig newspaper's journalist and Shahin Agabeyli, Milli Yol newspaper's editor-in-chief. PC stated that Zahidov was sentenced for three years in prison on Criminal Code article 234.1 and Agabeyli for a year on Criminal Code articles 147.1 and 148. The living conditions of their families are also shown in the document. PC also asked the president to pardon Samir Adigozelov, the editor-in-chief of Boyuk Millet newspaper. Adigozelov was sentenced by Nizami Region Court this February. APA
