President Aliyev attends opening of motorway and frontier post in Guba

President Ilham Aliyev drove a car to taste the first ever 57 km long motorway connecting the village of Khinaliyg with the rest of Azerbaijan. Some $15 million was set aside from the state budget for construction of the road.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Head of State called the opening of the road "great event." He said it proves that Azerbaijan is capable to solve all the existing problems. "My major goal is that people in the most remote areas of the country be provided with modern living conditions," the President emphasized.

Also today, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of a frontier post with Russia 9 km from the village of Khinalig. AzerTAg
