As APA reports, during the visit Mr. Heydarov met with French Interior and Renovations Minister Nikola Sarkozi.
Mr. Heydarov said at the meeting that President Ilham Aliyev is successfully pursuing the policy founded by Azerbaijani National leader Heydar Aliyev.
He said Azerbaijan is developing dynamically and builds up good relation with international organizations and the influence of Azerbaijan is growing in the international arena and wellbeing of people is improving in Azerbaijan day by day thanks to the successful and consistent policy of the Azerbaijan's president.
Heydarov also invited Nikola Sarkozi to Azerbaijan.
Being pleased with the invitation, Nikola Sarkozi expressed his confidence that cooperation between the ministries will yield good results.
He said these meetings are of great importance for exchange of experience.
The two ministers signed a letter of intent between the ministers at the end of meeting.
The Letter of Intent envisages development of an action plan for improvement of the activities of the Civil Defense structures, establishment of civil defense research labs, elimination of emergencies in oil pollution, cooperation in improvement of the provision of State Fire-Fighting Service and Fire Prevention Service with fire fighting equipment, provision of humanitarian aid in emergencies and other related problems.
Pursuant to the document, Azerbaijani Emergencies Ministry intends to train and educate personnel and to set up Training Center accoding to the experience of France.
It was concluded to work out and sign an agreement on cooperation.
Moreover, Mr Heydarov has also signed an agreement with France's Camiva on purchase of various kinds of fire fighting vehicles and fire fighting equipment. According to the agreement, the fire fighting vehicles and equipment will be delivered to Azerbaijan by mid next year.
Letter of Intent was also signed with Sivi Pol Conseil.
This organization will offer audit, advisory, technical assistance and education services in Azerbaijan. During the visit Mr. Heydarov met with French interior and renovations deputy minister and invited him to Azerbaijan.
