TRT to pay Azerbaijan for broadcasting

Communication and Information Technologies Ministry's Teleradio Unit technical Director Mikayil Abbasov told that the terms of agreement is being prepared now.

The payment will be set according to the number of transmitters and broadcasting area by the Tariff Council.

He also said TRT, ORT and RTR is broadcasting in the territory of Azerbaijan according to the intergovernmental agreement but ORT and RTR has no problem with Azerbaijan now.

Communication and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov also said Azerbaijan has problems only with TRT.

He said no agreement has been concluded although this TV channel is broadcasting 70-75% of the Azerbaijan territory, APA reports.
