IAU administration evaded tax

"Investigations proved evasion of tax by Independent Azerbaijan University (IAU) administration," Namig Askerov, chief of Anticorruption Department at Prosecutor's Office told.

He said the case is being investigated, APA reports.

"I cannot give information about the case because the investigation has not yet completed. The funds collected from the students were not expended as planned," he said.

Askerov also mentioned that they continue the investigation of financial irregularities in Barmek LLC.

"We appealed to Turkey for legal assistance. Turkey has conducted necessary investigations and sent the results to Azerbaijan," he said.
