Lawyer Vugar Khasayev noted that the court could take into consideration his five children and his first crime and give more light punishment.
"It shows that the court is biased. It is the heaviest punishment. The article sanctions maximum three years in prison," he said.
The lawyer said that they will appeal against the court's decision.
