WHO experts to visit Azerbaijan

Three experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) will visit Azerbaijan to support prevention of human-to-human transmission of bird flu and interhospital infections.

The experts will give trainings for Azerbaijani epidemiologists and interhospital infection specialists from October 23 to 27.30 Health servants from Baku and 10 other regions will participate in the training.

They are Tarter, Salyan and other risk region epidemiologists, Pulmonology Institute and Baku Hospital #7 specialists, APA reports.

They will train other epidemiologists and health servants. These specialists can prevent patient to patient and patient to doctor transmission of bird flu in hospital regime if the infection is detected in Azerbaijan again.
