Russia's six trucks waiting for Georgian entry visas in Baku since Sept 7

19 September 2006 [22:07] - TODAY.AZ
A convoy of Russian six trucks has been staying near the Georgian Embassy in Baku waiting for entry visas since September 7.

"These trucks transport fuel and lubricants, but now they are without cargo. They've been waiting for too long. We are given everyday promises that the visas will be issued within one-two days," a source at the headquarters of the Group of Russian Troops in the Caucasus told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

The headquarters denied as untrue allegations of some mass media that a convoy of Russian trucks loaded with fuels and food for the Group of Russian Troops in the Caucasus has been staying at the Verkhny Lars checkpoint.

"The information that the Georgian Defence Ministry demands the convoy should undergo customs registration procedures and bans it from entering also contradicts the reality," the source said.

"The convoy of six unloaded trucks in Baku is the only one that heads for Georgia," the source said.
