Deputy FM: "EU cannot impose sanction on Azerbaijan due to the increase of defense expenditure"

He told the APA exclusively Azerbaijan is a sovereign country and can enjoy its rights.

"Azerbaijan does not violate any international agreements by increasing its defense expenditure. The government thinks EU's counterreaction on the matter is groundless. Azerbaijan cares about its defense and increases defense expenditure. Here also includes salaries of the servicemen and solution of their social problems," the deputy minister said.

Mr.Mammadguliyev said Azerbaijan plans to increase expenditure in other spheres as its economy improves.
