Ali Hasanov meets UNHCR chief

Mr. Hasanov highlighted the special significance of UN High Commissariat Baku office among 70 international humanitarian institutions functioning in Azerbaijan. The Office plays, in a sense, a role of coordinator of the humanitarian organizations, he said.

Mr. Antonio Gutteres, in his turn, welcomed government's efforts to rapidly solve IDPs' problems in Azerbaijan. "In that case, it would be very useful to explain the current situation to the international community. Its attitude to the problem has an important significance. It is good that the government of Azerbaijan not only prepares return of the refugees, but also makes efforts to improve IDPs' conditions, UN High Commissioner said.

Mr. Gutteres assured once again that he would do all the best to solve the problems Azerbaijan faced.
