Armenian minister opposed to Karabakh vote

Armenian Defense Minister Serzh Sarkisian has said there is no need for a referendum in Nagorno Karabakh to determine the status of the region.

He said holding such a vote is possible only if the OSCE Minsk Group mediating settlement to the conflict makes a relevant proposal, AssA-Irada informs.

"The people of Nagorno Karabakh have conducted a referendum once and decisively put forth their will. Doing this again would be wrong," the Armenian official said.
