Azerbaijan Migration Organization Administrative building's opening ceremony

Interior minister of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov stated that, the established Migration Service will accomplish control on the foreigners visiting Azerbaijan.

The service has the following authorities: control on migration field, examination of solicitation, adoption of decision, granting document to migrant confirming his status, control his behavior within the country, and other authorities determined by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

"The number of foreigners has increased since Azerbaijan gained independence. Necessity has made establishing of the Service important. For instance, last year 1 mln.260 thousand foreigners have visited Azerbaijan. Studying the purpose of their arrival, staying term etc. guaranties security of our country."

The minister stated that the service will collaborate with Ministry of security and State Border Service. Besides it, the service provides management of migrants and people have no residence registration in our country.

The Interior Minister has got familiarized with the two buildings of Migration Service, the both establishments have been built to European standards, and there are all necessary condition for migrants to stay temporary.
