The Azerbaijan Culture Minister Adil Karimli has received a delegation led by the President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Serkan Kayalar, Azernews reports citing the ministry.
Welcoming the guests, the minister noted the friendly and fraternal relations between the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Turkiye have created conditions for the high-level development of relations between the two countries in all directions, including in the field of culture.
Adil Karimli pointed out that there are broad prospects for the development of cooperation in various fields of culture.
It is possible to achieve significant results by using the potential of the two countries for cooperation in the restoration and conservation of historical monuments, joint archaeological research, as well as in cinema and audiovisual art and other fields.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, TIKA President Serkan Kayalar provided information about the directions of activity of the organization he leads and its existing relations with Azerbaijan. He said that TIKA is interested in cooperation in the mentioned areas.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Ba?c?.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) operates in over 150 countries.
The agency is responsible for the organisation of the bulk of Turkiye's official development assistance to developing countries, with a particular focus on Turkic and African countries and communities.
TIKA carries out the task of being a cooperating mechanism for state institutions and organisations, universities, non-profit organisations, and the private sector.
