The Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council held its latest meeting in Baku, bringing together over 90 members from diverse sectors, including agriculture, petrochemicals, logistics, and banking, alongside government officials.
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted the growing economic partnership between Azerbaijan and Russia, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Business Council in fostering trade diversification and collaboration. "The work done to implement joint investment projects and unlock trade potential continues to strengthen ties between the business communities of both countries," Jabbarov noted.
Samad Gurbanov, representing the Business Council, detailed the organization’s efforts to enhance trade and business relations, underscoring its commitment to supporting Azerbaijani businesses in the Russian market.
During the meeting, elections for the Board of Directors were held. Emin Agalarov, founder of Agalarov Development, was elected Chairman, while Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, and Gambar Bananyarli, Director of Nardaran Invest LLC, were elected Deputy Chairmen.
Addressing participants, the newly elected Chairman, Emin Agalarov, stressed the Council's role in bolstering dialogue between entrepreneurs and expanding bilateral business opportunities.
In recognition of his contributions to economic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia, Samad Gurbanov was presented with an Honorary Decree.
Operating since 2016, the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council collaborates closely with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and other relevant state and public organizations to strengthen bilateral economic ties.
