November 8th was celebrated as Victory Day in Azerbaijan, with grand events held in the newly liberated territories, commemorating the country's triumph in the 2020 Patriotic War. The day was marked with concerts, flag marches, and patriotic performances in cities and villages that were freed from occupation, Azernews reports.

In Jabrayil, a concert dedicated to Victory Day was held, featuring performances by the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble, soloists Vafa Vazirova, Chinara Heydarova, and Idris Taghiyev, along with various instrumentalists and ensembles. The program included Azerbaijan's famous folk and composer songs, resonating with patriotic spirit.

In Lachin, a special event took place with the participation of martyrs' families, veterans, and law enforcement agencies. The event, starting from the Flag Square, was marked by a minute's silence for the martyrs, followed by the National Anthem. A flag march led by a military orchestra and personnel culminated in a concert at the "Lacinema" cinema center, featuring Honored artist Elsa Seyidjahan, singers Elgiz Aliyev and Konul Khalilzadeh, along with talented local performers. The event also included the screening of a documentary film about National Hero Natig Gasimov and a spectacular fireworks display.

In Aghali village in Zangilan, the celebrations began with the National Anthem and a tribute to the martyrs. The concert, organized by the Ministry of Culture, featured vibrant musical performances by the soloists of the International Mugham Center, celebrating the victory with patriotic fervor.

The city of Shusha, Azerbaijan’s cultural capital, also celebrated Victory Day with joy, as it coincided with the city’s day of liberation. The holiday concert, organized by the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic and State Dance Ensemble, was a poignant reminder of the city's historic liberation four years ago during the Patriotic War. The concert left a lasting impression on Shusha’s residents, who rejoiced in the return to their homeland.

Finally, Khankendi, which was liberated during the anti-terrorist operation of September 2023, also hosted a festive celebration. The concert, organized by the Ministry of Culture, featured performances from the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic and the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble, giving the audience unforgettable moments of joy and patriotism.

The celebrations across these liberated regions not only commemorated the Victory Day but also symbolized the resilience and unity of the Azerbaijani people in the face of adversity.
