"Aztelekom" to provide Azerbaijani citizens with speed of at least 35 megabits/second until end of year

"Aztelecom" plans to provide citizens of Azerbaijan with a speed of at least 35 megabits/second by the end of the year, Azernews reports.

Trend reports that Tural Pirverdiyev, general director of "Aztelecom" LLC, said this at the "GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024" conference.

The "Online Azerbaijan" project is aimed at replacing the existing ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Networks) technology, which will provide high-speed Internet up to 1 gigabyte per second. The goals of the initiative are to create a promising and environmentally friendly infrastructure, it also includes increasing the quality of the provided services," he said.

T.Pirverdiyev noted that "Aztelecom" is the leading provider in the field of telecommunications in Azerbaijan.

"Throughout our operations, we have expanded the list of services we offer to meet the changing needs of our customers, including high-speed Internet, telephone communication, television, and many other services," he added.

It should be noted that the international conference "M360 Eurasia 2024" is being held in Baku on May 15-16.

Leading experts from the region, heads of regulatory agencies, mobile communication operators, and IT corporations, as well as high-ranking politicians and other participants gathered at the event.

"M360 Eurasia" is being held in Baku for the second time.
