Ex-Health Minister appeals to President

The lawyer of the ex-Minister Toghrul Babayev told APA that Ali Insanov wrote that his health was deteriorating, and asked substitution of arrest measure on him, reminding that he would be 60 years old on March 22.

The lawyer also said that Insanov had undergone medical examination in Boyukshor treatment center of Main Office for Execution of Court Decisions.

"He needs undergoing an urgent operation. After the operation he will not be able to look after himself alone. So, it is impossible to send him back to jail. His imprisonment should be substituted with house arrest. I have already appealed to the Prosecutor-General for that," the lawyer said.
