Sheik-ul-islam invited Pope of Rome to Azerbaijan

Allahshukur Pashazade, the chairman of the Caucasus Clerical Board (CCB), invited the new head of the Catholic Church Benedictus XVI to visit Azerbaijan. Sheik-ul-Islam presented the invitation Kreschentsio Sepe, the Vatican Cardinal, who is currently on visit to Azerbaijan.
An official invitation will be shortly mailed though the diplomatic post, Pashazade said. Azerbaijan is ready to accept any time, he added.

Cardinal Sepe granted conferred a medal from the Pope of Rome, made of gold, in connection with the 25th jubilee of his election to the post of CCB chairman. /Trend/
