The International Student festival will be held in Baku in September of this year.
The festival is held with the organization of the Culture, Youth, Sport and Tourism ministries and the “Cinema” Film Investigational center second time. Cinema Service Office of Baku city also supports the festival. The first stage of the festival – document admission has already started.

The director of the “Cinema” Film Investigation Center Fehruz Shamiyev informed APA that the purpose of the project is to reveal the young talented students-producers, support them and help their films’ being recognized in the international arena.

The festival will be held on the nominations “The best film” (main prize 1 million 200 thousand manats), “The best producer work” (1 million manats), “The best scenario” (1 million manats) and “The best cameraman work” (500 thousand manats).

F.Shamiyev also noted that only feature and documentary films can take part in the festival: “The animated films can not participate in the festival. The reason of it is that there is no one among youth who make animated films. The reason of youth’s not shooting cartoon films is its requiring more finance”.

We should note that the young students-producers from Georgia will participate in the festival. F.Shamiyev stressed that a treaty was signed with Georgia in this field and said that the project will be more expanded since the next year.
